Panda VPN, also known as Panda Dome and Panda Security VPN, is a VPN service from the cybersecurity company Panda Security. The VPN offering from this well-known company fares well, offering advanced security and privacy services to its users.

You don't need to purchase an antivirus plan from this company to enjoy its VPN service. Panda VPN is also available as an independent service that you can download from the provider's website for free or on a paid plan. The free Panda VPN version is limited, but we like to see companies offering free cybersecurity tools to internet users.

Although Panda doesn't disclose the number of servers it operates, it has good server location options. You can access restricted content from the comfort of your own home by connecting to a Panda VPN server and changing your geo-location. We tested Panda on several popular websites and accessed many, including Netflix in the US.

If you want to learn more about Panda VPN and the company behind it, read our full Panda VPN review to find out more information. We've taken a look at the services on offer to decide whether or not the VPN is good value for money for internet users or if you should be checking out rival VPNs.

Panda Security VPN Security

55%

Since Panda VPN is the product of a company that specializes in the cybersecurity field, you can rest assured that the provider performs well regarding privacy and security features.

First of all, Panda VPN uses military-grade AES-256 bit encryption. This is great to see and extremely reassuring for subscribers who want their internet connection to be secured with a high standard of encryption.

There is good news for users who want speed as well as security. The provider uses the Hydra VPN protocol, which not only delivers a speedy internet connection but also creates a strong VPN tunnel.

However, there is no option to choose from connection protocols, and the lack of configuration available to users is disappointing. Many other providers, like NordVPN, offer a choice of which tunneling protocol you can run your connection over.

Regarding whether or not Panda stores activity logs, the answer is it does not. The provider operates a no-logging policy and doesn't monitor its users' browsing data or store any activity logs. As well as this, Panda doesn't keep identifiable logs of users' IP addresses.

We checked out Panda Security's privacy policy to see what it does log. The company keeps your name, email address, contact number, and zip code stored on its servers. While all of this user data is retained for account purposes, it means that you're not totally anonymous when using the service. Fortunately, no activity logs are ever stored that can be linked to your personal details, and therefore, show what you do online.

Alongside good encryption and a reasonable privacy policy is a kill switch that will spring into action if your VPN connection goes out. The kill switch will cut off your internet access, ensuring that you never accidentally browse without a protective VPN layer. This means no third parties will see your browsing habits at any time without your consent.

You can purchase the Panda VPN as a single product or get it with the Premium Panda Security package. In this package are a host of other useful security tools such as USB protection and a process monitor. Overall, Panda VPN is a good product and a great option if you want to give yourself more privacy and security online.

Panda Security VPN Features

50%

Panda VPN comes with many features to give its users a great internet experience. Firstly, Panda offers unlimited bandwidth, which allows customers to do whatever activity they want online. Unfortunately, unlimited bandwidth and data are only available on the paid plans and not for free users.

It's impressive that Panda does offer a free version of its VPN service. However, this comes with a data cap of 150MB per day, which isn't a lot, especially if you enjoy data-heavy activities like streaming and torrenting.

Torrenting is allowed on Panda VPN's servers, which is great news since many VPN services ban it. Thanks to Panda's excellent security features, including AES-256 bit encryption, your downloads will always remain private, and you won't expose your real IP address to other people if you P2P network.

With Panda VPN, you can unblock streaming services worldwide and access foreign content or content that has not yet been released in your country. We decided to test Panda on US Netflix and were able to access the site with no issues whatsoever. We even were able to unblock BBC iPlayer in the UK, a website with a firewall that is notoriously difficult for VPNs to get past.

If you are looking for a fast connection to download and stream at blazing-fast speeds, then Panda VPN is a good option. While the VPN provider is not the fastest service we have tested, we enjoyed a good connection speed. We ran a speed test, and although our download speed dropped from 39 Mbps to 33 Mbps when using a US server, this was still fast.

Each paid subscription plan comes with 5 simultaneous connections. This is the same as what other popular VPN services offer, like ExpressVPN. However, many VPNs have started to offer more simultaneous connections as demand for more device coverage increases. It would be great to see Panda add more device connections so users can protect all of their operating systems.

Regarding what devices you can use Panda VPN on, the provider has computer VPN clients for Windows and macOS and smartphone apps for Android and iOS. The app itself is easy to use, and you can quickly connect to the fastest server upon launching the app.

Speaking of servers, Panda VPN operates across 23 countries but doesn't reveal the exact number of servers in its network. However, given that the VPN service operates in places such as the US, the UK, Canada, Japan, and Russia, it is advantageous for users. You'll be able to surf the web using IP addresses from these locations and access blocked content on websites and streaming services globally.

With all the information available, it seems that Panda VPN is a decent VPN service regarding the extra features it offers. Although there is no split tunneling or any advanced tools (aside from the kill switch) available in the app, it offers access to good server locations. It can be used on popular systems like Windows, iOS, and Android.

Who Owns Panda VPN?

Panda VPN comes from Panda Security, a well-known and reputable cybersecurity solution company. In fact, Panda Security is one of the most popular companies in the world, alongside others like Avast, and offers free antivirus software solutions alongside its paid plans.

Panda Security is a Spanish company. However, this could be good news for some VPN users since Spain operates some of the tightest data retention laws in Europe. The downside to Panda being located in Spain is that the country is a member of the 5/9/14 Eyes and so cooperates with other countries regarding data sharing.

Is Panda VPN Safe?

One of the most decision-making factors in most VPN or antivirus purchases is whether or not the product is safe for users. Panda VPN, on the surface, appears extremely safe for several reasons.

Firstly, this VPN comes from a well-known cybersecurity company. This is very reassuring as companies that are invested in protecting people online generally don’t misuse customer data. The Panda VPN no-logs policy backs this up as it indicates that your browsing information will never be shared without your knowledge.

Moreover, when you’re using Panda VPN, your internet activity will be safe thanks to AES-256 bit encryption. This is the highest level of encryption and makes it extremely hard for your Internet Service Provider (ISP), hackers, and governments to see what you’re doing online. A kill switch also keeps your browsing data safe, which is great news for torrenters.

What Devices Can You Use Panda Dome on?

You can use Panda Dome VPN on up to 5 devices at one time. The VPN is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. To use one of the native Panda VPN apps, you’ll need to ensure you have the latest version of Framework. NET on your device.

The Panda VPN app is easy to install and activate on your computer or smartphone. To use the VPN while you surf the internet, all you need to do is tap connect upon opening the app. You’ll automatically be connected to the best VPN server location, although you can also manually select a server location.

Does Panda Dome VPN Unblock Netflix?

During our test of the service for this Panda VPN review, we tried to access Netflix when connected to various servers. We were able to bypass Netflix in the US, which is usually a good indicator of whether a VPN can bypass regional blocks.

We also unblocked BBC iPlayer in the UK when connected to a server location there. This is really great since not many VPNs can get past iPlayer’s strong VPN firewall.

Where are Panda’s Server Locations?

Panda VPN’s network operates across 23 countries, including the US, Germany, Russia, Japan, Spain, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Turkey, and the Netherlands. The VPN provider doesn’t disclose the number of servers it operates, which is a little discouraging. It would be great to see server count information clearly listed on the provider’s website.

While Panda’s network offers decent server coverage, some VPNs offer locations in more countries. CyberGhost, for example, has over 7000 servers across 91 countries which, we guess, is over three times as many as Panda.

One great aspect of Panda VPN’s server network is the fact that it has servers in restricted countries. There are servers in Russia and Turkey, which is great news for residents living in these countries who want to subvert restrictions and surveillance from authorities.

How Much is Panda VPN?

There are a few Panda VPN pricing plans depending on the length of time you want to use the VPN. Here’s a rundown of each subscription plan:

Overall, we think Panda VPN is on the pricier side. However, this is good value for money if you consider the level of security and features you get in return. Every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

What Payment Methods Does Panda VPN Accept?

Panda VPN offers a couple of different payment options. You can pay using debit or credit cards, and Panda accepts all the major credit cards, including Mastercard and Visa. You can also pay via PayPal.

Does Panda VPN Have a Refund Policy?

There is a 30-day money-back guarantee, which is standard amongst VPN providers (although some VPNs like CyberGhost offer a 45-day money-back guarantee).

Panda VPN users must claim their refund before the end of the 30 days if they wish to get their money back.

Does Panda VPN Have Good Customer Support?

One of the best things about using Panda VPN is that it is a Panda Security product. This means that you can expect excellent quality in all areas, including customer service. Firstly, you can speak to a technician on the phone or via email.

There is also a support section on the Panda Dome website, with a special knowledge base area dedicated to Panda VPN. Here you can find a lot of information about the provider’s security and privacy standards and how to get started with the VPN.

Is Panda Dome VPN Worth it?

So, is Panda VPN one of the best VPN services out there, or is it just average? In our opinion, it is a good VPN created by a reliable company, but it isn’t the best option out there. It is great that there is a free version and the option to purchase a 3-year plan for just under $3 per month.

With Panda VPN, you also get access to great security features, including advanced encryption, a kill switch, and servers worldwide. However, there is a lack of configuration when it comes to changing protocols, and there is not a large number of servers; this could lead to high server loads, which could slow down connection speeds.

However, it is important to consider user reviews when looking at a VPN. Panda VPN has a Trustpilot score of 4 stars, which is extremely good. Most verified customers seem extremely satisfied, which bodes well for potential new users.

What Are Some VPN Alternatives?

If you don’t want to use Panda VPN, then there are many other excellent alternatives.

FAQs

Is There a Free Panda VPN Version?

There is a free Panda Security VPN that you can download from the provider's website. However, this free version comes with limitations, such as a 150MB data limit. This isn't enough data to stream or do much online. Due to the data cap, it might be a better idea to download the paid version and use the 30-day money-back guarantee as a free trial. This way, you can test out the VPN with the reassurance that if you're not satisfied, you can claim your money-back risk-free.

Does Panda VPN Work in China?

Unfortunately, not many VPNs work in China due to the Great Firewall that operates there. Panda VPN does not work in China and doesn't operate servers in the country. We'd recommend NordVPN if you want a VPN that works in China.

Does Panda VPN Security Antivirus Come with Built-in VPN?

If you purchase the Premium version of the Panda Security Antivirus, then you'll get the VPN included in your purchase. Alongside the VPN, there is also an Update Manager that comes free of charge in the Premium antivirus plan.
